Dr. Natasha Weeraratne

Dr. Natasha Weeraratne was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a local community member. She went to Palms Middle School and has grown up in the Mar Vista neighborhood since a young age. She loves to help the community and give back to the neighborhood that raised her which is why she loves working at OVC. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Irvine majoring in Public Health Sciences and minoring in French, go Anteaters! She then went to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean and completed her clinical year at Oregon State University (OSU). Her senior paper at OSU was on Self-Care in the Veterinary Field. She is beyond passionate about making sure the team has a great support system, and regularly leads mental health check ins so that our team is at their best capability and ready to take care of all our beloved client’s pets. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of six and is so happy to have fulfilled her dream to care for animals and to build long lasting relationships with her clients! 

On her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family. She loves to meditate, cook, dance, go surfing, travel, eat at great restaurants, have spa days, and spend time with her beloved dog, Sophie the sweetheart.
